Overview of Elephant Trunk Hill

Elephant Trunk Hill Elephant Trunk Hill is one of the must see attractions in Guilin. It is located on the bank of Li River. It got it's name from the shage of the mountain which looks like a huge elephant drinking water from the river bank. There is a cave between the trunk and the legs of the mountain elephant. The cave is called Shui Yue Cave, in English, it's called Water Moon Cave.

Rooster Fighting Hill

There are two hills lying on both banks of Li River. These two hills look like two rooster fighting with each other.

Pagoda Hill

There is another hill called Pagoda Hill on the bank of Li River. Tourists will get a good view on the top of the pagoda. It was said that the pagaoda was built in Ming dynasty.

How to get to Elephant Trunk Hill

Tourist can take bus number 2, 16, 23, 33 or sightseeing bus No.1 to get off the Xiangshan Park(Elephant Hill Park). You can also easily take a taxi to the park in a low price from only 8 RMB depending on your distance with the park.

Travel Tips and Tickets

The Park is located in the downtown center. Transportation is very convenient. The opening time is from 8:30-17:00 in the day time. One hour is recommended to visit the whole park. It cast 40 RMB to enter the park.
